The honorary award ceremony for the film Take a Trip by Christos N. Karakasis was successfully held, marking 100 consecutive weeks of screenings at Studio – New Star Art Cinema in Athens. The event stood as a remarkable moment for Greek cinema, honoring a work that sustained an uninterrupted presence on the big screen for nearly two years.
For the 14th consecutive year, the Athens International Digital Film Festival (AIDFF) will take place from December 4 to 10, 2025, hosted at the historic Studio New Star Art Cinema in Amerikis Square and at the Blackbox Theater Cinema in Pedion tou Areos. Parallel screenings will also be held at the Ekpaideutiki Enosi (Syntagma), Studio Theatre in Kypseli, the AXON organization on Patision Avenue, and Geoterra in Chalandri.
This year’s festival will present 120 feature and short films from 30 countries, including 60 premieres. Audiences will enjoy every genre of cinematic art—feature and short fiction films, documentaries, experimental works, video art, animation, and dance films. A strong Greek section highlights works by emerging and established directors, each offering distinct artistic and aesthetic approaches.
Για 13η συνεχή χρονιά θα πραγματοποιηθεί το Διεθνές Φεστιβάλ Ψηφιακού Κινηματογράφου Αθήνας (Athens International Digital Film Festival, AIDFF, 12 ως 18 Δεκεμβρίου 2024, φιλοξενούμενο στον ιστορικό κινηματογράφο Studio New Star Art Cinema και στο Blackbox Theater Cinema, ενώ παράλληλες προβολές θα πραγματοποιηθούν στην Εκπαιδευτική Ένωση (σύνταγμα) και στις Σχολές Ωμέγα (Πειραιάς). To φεστιβάλ θα προβάλει 110 ταινίες Μεγάλου και Μικρού μήκους, από 35 χώρες, με 50 πρεμιέρες.
Με μεγάλη επιτυχία έκλεισε η αυλαία του 12ου Διεθνούς Φεστιβάλ Ψηφιακού Κινηματογράφου Αθήνας (Athens International Digital Film Festival, AIDFF, που διεξήχθη από τις 7 ως τις 13 Δεκεμβρίου 2023, φιλοξενούμενο στον ιστορικό κινηματογράφο Στούντιο και στο Blackbox Theater Cinema. Το φετινό φεστιβάλ, συνεχίσε την παράδοσή να στοχεύει σε μία καλλιτεχνική επιλογή ταινιών από όλο το φάσμα της κινηματογραφικής τέχνης. Οι θεατές απόλαυσαν παγκόσμιες, Ευρωπαϊκές αλλά και Αθηναϊκές πρεμιέρες.
BlackBox was created to highlight, through theater and cinema, the concerns of artists who choose to express themselves in the center of Athens. It is a place that hosts, promotes, and produces culture. Open to development, research, and presentation of works, with the aim of highlighting modern creation and, sometimes, the preservation of cultural memory. Designed with references to expressionist Berlin's aesthetics, with a four-meter cinema screen and a twelve-meter stage, it is itself a magic box of memories that fills, empties, and sets the tone.
The application period to participate in the 12th Athens International Digital Film Festival AIDFF has started. The festival, dedicated to the promotion of digital cinema, has established and championed the concept of New Cinema. It stands as the sole festival in Greece and one of the few in Europe that embraces all forms of cinematographic art. The festival features fiction, documentary, experimental animation, video-art, video-dance, and student films created using new digital media.
Οι σπουδές κινηματογράφου (Σκηνοθεσία) και (Σενάριο) χωρίζονται σε δύο ακαδημαϊκούς κύκλους. Ο πρώτος κύκλος περιλαμβάνει μαθήματα θεωρητικής μύησης σε συνδυασμό με (Εργαστηριακά μαθήματα). Ο δεύτερος ενώνει την τεχνική με την θεωρία. Η ανάπτυξη ενός σχεδίου παραγωγής οπτικοακουστικού ,προϊόντος, Προβλήματα που σχετίζονται με το σενάριο, δραματουργία, Πηγές χαρακτήρων Συν-συγγραφή σεναρίου. Ντοκιμαντέρ. Κατά τη διάρκεια των σποδών θα μελετηθούν διαφορετικές τεχνικές αφήγησης μυθοπλασίας και για ντοκιμαντέρ μέσω αναλύσεων και προβολών ταινιών.Οι συμμετέχοντες θα έχουν τη δυνατότητα να παρακολουθήσουν μικρές θεωρητικές συζητήσεις πάνω στην θεωρία ενώ παράλληλα με προβολές και κινηματογράφηση θα εντάσσουν την δική τους ιδέα.
